Genesis 2:1-3
Thus the heavens and the earth, and all the host of them, were finished. And on the seventh day Elohim (God) ended His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had done. Then Elohim blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which Elohim had created and made.
SHABBAT - God’s Gift to mankind from the beginning, from Creation, yes from the foundation of the world and everything in it, Elohim made Mankind / Adam in His image, male and female He created them on the sixth day and immediately they were gifted with the Day of rest, with Shabbat.
Beloved the Root Word of Shabbat is Sheva whichs means the number Seven, and it also means an oath...Shabbat is an oath that God has made, a pattern for Creation to follow. Everything He created would be most effective if they operate in this original Blueprint...to cease, stop, desist and enter into His ordained Shabbat Rest….
"There remains therefore a REST for the people of God (Elohim). For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God (Elohim)did from His. Let us therefore be diligent to enter that Rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience. For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.
