Jeremiah 31:33 (NASB)
Observing Shabbat personally many years ago now, has delivered me from the fear of men and the fear of Death. Because resting on the Shabbat teaches you to shut out the world, its noises and voices one day a week. It helps you focus on what's eternal and not on what’s carnal. And the more eternally minded you become as you walk in obedience to His Word beloved, the less fear you walk in, whether fear of men or fear of death, hence the more you walk in faith, the Faith of Yeshua, the more you begin to resemble Him and walk as a son of God on earth. For through Yeshua, He has given the right to become sons and daughters of Elohim.
“Here is the patience of the holy ones; here are those who keep the commandments of Elohim [God] and the faith of Yeshua [Jesus].
Revelation 14:12
Shabbat allows you to walk in the Cool of the Day in communion with the Holy One Blessed be He. And beloved one day or one Shabbat in His courts or Presence is better than a thousand elsewhere.
Our Creator asks us to give Him one day a week to sit at His feet, and bask in His Presence. Shabbat is an invitation into His Presence to taste and see that He is good. Observing Shabbat is a testimony of the exodus of our souls, of Yah’s provisional victory over our lives, it is the Victory of Yeshua on the Tree at Calvary when He selflessly conquered Death & Hades, Hasatan and all his hordes in Hell…for our sake, for the Jew first and also the Greek!
In order to fully walk with Elohim, our Creator God, we need to die to self and live a sacrificial and selfless life in the pattern of Yeshua. We need to “Lech Lecha“ like Father Avraham did and leave all behind and walk in faith, the faith that pleases our Father in Heaven. That’s true living and overcoming beloved.
Shabbat teaches us that when we cease and desist from all of works of the flesh, we will live in the Spirit and enter into YHVH’s work but from a place of Rest... like when Adam in that place of relationship and rest was able to co-labor with the Creator and name the animals through the Wisdom imbued into him through His restful relationship with Elohim, and that, right there, is truly entering the works of God. And from that place of Rest, we could co-labor with our King with such ease, righteousness, peace, joy in the Holy Spirit / Ruach HaKodesh for that is the Malchut / Kingdom of God!
